I’m a journalist specializing in the future of fashion and culture, known for offering digestible insights into which new ideas matter.

As the founding innovation editor of Vogue Business, my Technology Edit newsletter became a must-read for the industry’s top minds, spanning artificial intelligence, wearables, Web3 and beyond. Before joining Vogue and Condé Nast, I was the first technology reporter for WWD, where I covered how tech giants and Silicon Valley startups increasingly influenced fashion and culture, and I was a style reporter at the San Francisco Chronicle, where I covered fashion and society.

Today, my reporting for fashion, business and lifestyle publications spans luxury, technology, interiors and more, and I lead an internal innovation newsletter at a major fashion house. In the past two decades, my work has appeared in W, Marie Claire, Business of Fashion, Palm Beach Illustrated, Southern Living, Racked and Glossy, among others.

A frequent speaker and moderator, I’ve spoken at CES, SXSW, Shoptalk, Christie’s Art + Tech Summit and Web Summit, and have been featured on BBC, NPR and Amazon’s Making the Cut. I also hosted the limited series Tech Edit podcast for Vogue Business.

I’ve taught fashion and journalism at the University of Florida, San Francisco’s Academy of Art University and the Vogue Summer School. My formative years were spent as the editorial director of a regional publishing company, leading publications focused on lifestyle, business and tourism. I graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in journalism and a minor in art history, after studying fashion at the Savannah College of Art & Design.

Off deadline, I’m a creative type whose interests span interior decor, flower-arranging, historical architecture and visual art.
